downloading email pictures to my computer

I recieve e-mail pictures from my kids to my email address on msn. I have a
windows vista home premium program on a gateway computer. I'm not a complete
computer idiot, but close. (New user) How to I download the pictures from
my email files to my computer so I can edit them and send to my other
relatives and maybe make a screensaver or something?

When you open the hotmail email, either click on the photo, or the paperclip
attachment: photo file name at the top.

Up pops a windowpen, save or cancel.
Save the attachment photo to your docs, or Photos, or wherever you have
created a folder for them from the drop down menu at the top of the Save
window, or icons on the side of it
