Downloading Files from the internet

Ive been trying to download files from the internet for the past week.
Everytime i try the download box pops up, the download begins and when it
ends it always ask me if i want to run the program, i always say Yes, then
the box will remain on the screen even though the file is down downloading.
The box will not go away until i use the task manager to end it. This happens
for any kind of download. Please help. Ive looked through all the FQAs trying
to kind a answer. I really need this to be worked out soon. Thank you

Try turning off UAC & tell us if it works then?
