downloading from internet problem

when i click the run or save window that appears after i click download the
computer restarts it self and no downloading happens. I need help i try
downloading again and again and the same thing happens.

Have you checked All Programs > Maintenance > Problem Reports and Solutions
> View Problem History to see if there are any logged reports relating the
crash/restart? You might also want to check the Event Viewer for any logged
reports relating to the restart.

A friend told me to do this and it worked for me, I had the same problem:

Go into control panel and click on user accounts . When it opens click on
Turn User Account Control On or Off. Then just uncheck that little square
box and then reboot your machine. After this you won't have to keep giving
it permission to do things.
