Downloading from the internet

Hello everyone. Recently I have been having problems with downloading from
the internet. The dialogue box pops up and i click run, the status runs to
100% than the box disappears and nothing happens. I also tried saving it
first but when i do that i cant find it on my computer. It use to work and I
am just wondering if i may have turned something off or what is going on. I
use to be able to open attatchments in my emails, like a joke or something
that was a wma and I would click run and it would open. Now i click run and
it goes to 100% than the box goes away and nothing happens. Can anyone help
me??

Delete your Internet Cache - Click Start > type Internet Options > click it
> under the General (tab) >
Browsing History > click Delete

If that does not work, try resetting your Internet Explorer settings. On the
same window, click the Advanced tab > under 'Reset Internet Explorer
settings' click 'Reset'.

I tried what you suggested and it still doesn't fix my problem. Thanks for
the tips though. The window still just goes away and nothing happens. I dont
know why it does that.

When you download, try to save it to C:\Users\youraccount\Downloads

Does that work?

and if all else fails, backup and Recover.

I had the same problem. I created a new user account, and that works fine.
I've read I can delete an index.dat file to fix the problem, but haven't got
round to trying it yet.
