Downloading PDF Files

After not being able to open a PDF file and I got an error. I followed
directions on the pop-up window, went to Control Panel, folder options, and
added the extension and I'm sure I need to so something else, as I still get
the same error msg.: "This file does not have a program associated with it
for performing this action. Create an association in the Control Panel
folders option." Thanks in advance for your help.

You sure you have a PDF viewer installed? Regardless, an install/reinstall of the Adobe
Reader will probably solve this:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
