Hi,
from the description you provided, today is probably your lucky day
Pictures (binary digital images) usually have these extensions: *.jpg*
*.png*, *.bmp*, *.tga*, *.tif*, *.tiff*
Pictures (vectorized images) usually have these extensions: *.svg*
*.cmx*, *.emf*, *.wmf*, *.cdr*, *.cmx*, *.ai*, *.ps*, *.eps*
Executables usually have these extensions (after installation of th
Windows operating system, I took these from *PATHEXT* environmen
variable, visible when you type *set* and press *enter key* fro
*Command Prompt*): *.COM*, *.EXE*, *.BAT*, *.CMD*, *.VBS*, *.VBE*
*.JS*, *.JSE*, *.WSF*, *.WSH*, *.MSC*
The extension you are mentioning is *.exe*, which means that it is a
binary file that can be executed on your computer. Usually, when you ge
similar message that the file "-could not be saved, because the sourc
file could not be read-" it means that access to it was blocked by som
kind of malware-protection you have installed on your machine, which i
good.
However, if you are completely sure (but how you can be? think abou
identity theft issues) that the executable image is not lethal, there i
very tiny chance that this could be false-positive detection.
HTH,
VLaa
