DOWNLOADING VISTA SP1

I had just downloaded Vista SP1. Now my OS is gone. How do I get it back? I
have everything backed up on a external drive but it won't accept the
external drive. It says NTLDR is missing.

Press F8 on restart, during 'black screen', after the BIOS screen. You will
get the option to use the "last known Good Configuration"
