Downloading Windows XP Pro SP2

When I run Windows Update ,It tells me that I have no updates to download and
install. A while back i had a power failer when i was booting my Pc, and it
caused something to my Pc. So i had taken my Pc to the place where my wife
had worked , at that time, and they reinstalled XP pro but didnt give me a
boot up disk. My question is ,When I try to run an update ,it tells me that i
need to activate windows,then it will not let me do so. Something about not
owning the XP Pro version. Can anyone help? My Pc states that I'm running SP
