Downloads failing

Hi,

I have a weird issue with Vista Ultimate. When trying to download anything
from IE7, say something that is 27MB, I get the first 50-70kB, then the
download ends - no errors. Just as if it had downloaded the correct amount.
Obviously the file is junk. I think this is also happening with McAfee (as I
cannot grab the installation files using the Download Manager).

OK, I am using a Wireless connection to a modem/router that is connected to
an ADSL2+ connection (synching about 8.5Mb/s). But get this for weird. A VM
running on my computer (XP) happily downloads anything and everything!!

What could be wrong here, and how do I fix it?

Oops, forgot to mention, it happens if I connect via Cat5 cable to the
modem/router, and another PC also wireless and XP has no issues.
