Is it possible to add my Downloads folder after the Games item to the right
side of the Start menu? This would be very convenient.

Probably, if one knows how to hack the UI.

Instead, and just as convenient, why not create a shortcut to
"downloads" and pin it to the start menu?

You can add a shortcut to the folder, yes.

I guess that works too, it's just not as elegant.

Hi,

if you use this Program -
http://www.vistastartmenu.com

in PRO version you may add any folder in start menu as drop down
menu.

Agreed. I'm not a gamer, so the "Games" link there is just wasted
space.

You could 'take over' the CLSID of the Games folder -- and you can actually
do it on a per-user basis. But if you do that, Games Explorer will open to
your Downloads folder.
