When the DPI settings are 120 and wlm 9 is installed when these settings are
in place, the messenger window where you sign in doesnt have a display
picture visible anywhere just the sign in boxes in its place, and when signed
in clicking on the display name at the top of the contact window doesnt
display options but the online, appear offline, busy and away jewels in a
line with now words to be seen. The only way to change the status is to click
the show menu button on the main messenger window and selecting file > status.

Hi, try to resize the window, if the login window is too small the
display picture is hidden.

I have the same problem with the status menu, running XP SP3 120 DPI, no
text to be seen and the top row is filled with all the icons.

Yes it seems to be a widespread problem the only solution i knew of was to
change back to the 96 default scale and it worked perfectly i think the
developers should rectify it soon.

Hello there,

do you have any Emoticons issues as well on 120 dpi? I have WLM Beta
14.0.5027.908 and all my default Emoticons are scrambled. It looks like you
had a bitmap with all icons but each one cut out with wrong offsets. So parts
of different smilies mix up within what should be a single smiley/Emoticon.
For example (U) - broken heart - shows a devil! *laughs*

But it seems to be a local problem only - the party on the other end seems
to receive/send correctly it's only a display issue in the local chat window.
I always have to select the smiley, right-click copy, then insert into a
notepad window which reveals the text code for the incorrectly displayed
smiley. I could only turn usage of Emoticons off.
