Drag and Drop/Cut and Paste Problem

Hi,

I recently installed Vista Home Premium 32-bit on an Acer Laptop. I have a
problem in that I cannot drag 'n drop and/or cut 'n paste folders from one
location to another.

I can copy and paste them but then I have to go back to their original
location and delete them.

I don't have any problem cutting and pasting individual files.

The folders are NOT ready only and all my permissions are set to 'allow'.

I am not attempting to move the folders to another drive.

Example: I will right-click on a folder in 'my received files' and select
'cut'. The folder will go pale showing that it is ready to be moved. I will
then right-click in 'my documents' and select 'paste'. Basically nothing will
happen and when I go back to 'my received files' the folder I had selected to
move will be solid again.

I don't get any error messages. It's just that nothing happens.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
