Dream Scene (Transparency)

I have just installed Windows Ultimate and downloaded the Dream Scenes. I
have not been able to run it as I cannot select the Transparency Box in
Windows Color and Appearance as the box does not appear. I have first gone
to Theme and selected Windows Vista, when I go to Windows Color and
Appearance, I can select Windows Aero but there is no Transparency Box to
select. I am running a Nvidea 7600GT graphics card and I have downloaded all
updates. Has anyone else had this problem?

Windows Dreamscenes are stored under Personalize > Desktop Background >
Picture Location: (click in the list box) > select Windows Dreamscenes.
Select your Dreamscene.

As for Aero Glass, try refreshing your Windows Experience Index (WEI)
1. Click Start
2. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, hit enter
3. Click the Update my score link
4. Click Continue on the User Account Control dialog

I did what you said and got an overall score of 5.3. Desktop performance for
Windows Aero was 5.9. I can select Windows Vista under Theme settings, I can
also select Windows Aero under Appearance Settings however no Transparency
button/box appears so I am unable to select that. If I select the Dream
Scenes under Desktop Background and press OK, my screen goes black. I get
message "Windows DreamScene can only run when Windows Aero is selected". On
checking the settings, Under Theme it goes back to Modified Theme, Under
Windows Colour and Appearance it goes back to Windows Vista Basic and on
checking the background it has gone to solid color (Black). Is the Nvidea
card the problem?
