Dreamscene won't play mpeg files

I cannot find a clear answer as to why my pc wont play mpeg files, it plays
the other type with no problems

A have areo selected and can play the mpeg files in windows media player okay.

Can anyone give me a idea what to do

Do you have the SP1 beta installed?

Hi Paul

No I dont have any service pack install. I have done all the Vista updates
I am not aware of any sp1 updates yet and would not use any beta stuff.

I have the sony media center 302 and all works well, it has 2gb of ram.

As I said Paul I can view all the mpeg2 files on the windows media player
with no problem and the dreamscene works fine with the wma a(or what ever the
windows files are called)

If you can give me any ideas what I can do I would be very greatful
