Dreamweaver APPCRASH in ntdll.dll

Dreamweaver and several other apps crash frequently. ntdll.dll seems to be at
the center of it.

Dreamweaver especially, everytime you go to site management and either
import/export site profiles, or actually everytime the BROWSE for files
dialog comes up, if you use the up arrow to go up one directory or just
"button around", eventually it crashes and dreamweaver just closes.

What version of Dreamweaver are you using?. I'm using Dreamweaver 8 and have
had no problems including site management.

8.0.1

Two types of errors:

"Faulting application Dreamweaver.exe, version 8.0.1.2761, time stamp
0x43a87d9d, faulting module ntdll.dll, ,

exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000aa0fb, process id 0xec0,
application start time 0x01c70f1e1545bea5."

"Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: Dreamweaver.exe
Application Version: 8.0.1.2761
Application Timestamp: 43a87d9d
Fault Module Name: StackHash_dc02
"

There is an update to 8.0.2.
http://www.adobe.com/support/documen...easenotes.html
I don't think it will solve your problem but you could try. I'll check some
other sources to see if I can come up with anything else. If you have trouble
downloading the updater, try using Firefox. I haven't had any issues
downloading with IE7 (though I have had issues with certain secure sites) but
I've noticed some have had download issues with IE7 and have switched to
Firefox (www.firefox.com). I mention it just in case.

I mention it because there was a Time Stamp issue with v. 8.0.1

First, Macromedia has not tested Dreamweaver on a 64bit OS just check their
FAQ, so there are no special Dreamweaver downloads for 64bit systems. Nor
updates that are designed for 64 bit systems.
Second, I'm using VISTA (RC1) on a 32 bit system and have the update
installed on my computer. However I had it installed on XP pro before I
upgraded to RC1.
Third, how would anyone know that you have a 64 bit OS unless you indicate it?

I would suggest you start a new thread with a few more details about the
version of VISTA you're using, your Hardware and Dreamweaver version and
problem. Perhaps then someone will be able to give you some helpful advise.

I have had the same problem with Dreamweaver 8. When I go to manage sites,
it crashes. I've installed both 32-bit Windows Vista and 64-bit Windows
Vista and have the same problem with each. Guess I will wait for Dreamweaver
9 beta, too. I also cannot install the v.8.02 update for Dreamweaver.
