Coming up with an error message on PC, saying it cannot connect to host.
Settings are 100% correct as have checked it on the Mac computer.Firewall on
Vista is not blocking it. Anyone know how to solve the problem?

Can you connect to the FTP via IE7? If so it might be something wrong with
Dreamweaver (settings perhaps) and not Vista.
Double check your firewalls, and check them again, an easy way to check is
to disable all firewalls temporarily, then connecting Dreamweaver to the
FTP, if it works it's something to do with your firewall.

I'm having the same problem with Dreamweaver 8.02 and Vista, and it
happens whether the firewall is on or off. If I try to open the ftp
site with IE7 it crashes IE, same with trying to open it in Explorer.

I have no issues accessing the same ftp on my other machine in the
office which is XP / IE6 / Dreamweaver 8.02. I haven't found a solution
so if anyone else managed to get ftp in Dreamweaver running on Vista,
please let me know.

Ta. xx

I believe my Windows Live OneCare was blocking it even though it hadn't been
asking me for permission. However it suddenly appeared on another occassion
upon opening Dreamweaver. Since then the FTP now works.

The problem is, apparently, a known issue between IE7 and DW.
The link I sent earlier in the thread contained a reg fix.
