Is there any type of utility that would show me the history of any driver
updates on my vista system? I tried to check up on my ATI graphics driver. If
I go to device manager it shows one version and if I run dxdiag it shows an
older version, so I was trying to find some kind of a tracking log for this.
Thanks.

Start\Run and type in verifier and then hit OK. There select Display information on currently installed drivers and follow instructions

Unless the driver installer logs the information somewhere, you are out
of luck. You could try looking at the Windows Event Viewer logs to see,
but I doubt you'll find anything. There might be add-on utilities that
would track it from the time you install it forward, but I don't know of
any that can go back in time.

Peter, the Driver Verifier has nothing to do with what the OP is asking.
It is a tool used to verify and debug certain aspects of drivers, and in
fact until you tell it to start verifying one or more drivers, the
"Display information about the currently *verified* drivers" does
nothing.

You need to read, then understand, before replying. Some of your posts
are starting to get dangerously misinformed.

I got to give it to you. That name is original and way off the beaten path
