Driver for nBidia GeForce 7600 GS?

It is not quite in the group's profile but still I want to ask although I
will also post it in an XP group. I am looking for a driver for XP for this
graphics card.

The story is quite instructive in a way for some Vista users as well and
this is why I decided to post it here.

I replaced my old graphics card with 128 Gbs of RAM on my GX-280 back in
October I believe. This one has 512 Gbs. The active partition was Vista on
that computer. It worked very well and Vista found drivers it needed and
even offered an optional update which I eventually declined.

I also have another (XP) partition on this machine I abandoned it for the
reason that I lost Internet connection on it. I still have some software in
there and occasionally I go there to do a little bit of work.

The XP looks terrible because the old driver does not fit the new card. I
want to investigate if there is a driver around. I need a reputable source
only.

I did google for it and found nothing. I think many people are looking for
drivers for nVidia latest cards for their XP machines.

After it all came for me into focus I reflected on so many bizarre
suggestions by trolls and crooks around here for people to go back to XP.
With every passing month XP is getting more and more obsolete and the gap
between XP and Vista's availability in everything is only bound to widen at
a frightening rate.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

I've got a few, but the most relevant one is did you look at nVidia,
instead of nBidia ?

Or does that make too much sense.

When you go to the nBidia download site, just select " Windows XP " as your
OS.

Thanks a lot, I did not notice the snafu.

I saw that site. I am not sure it is my driver. it says:

WHQL driver for GeForce FX, 6, 7, and 8 series GPUs.
Added support for GeForce 8800 GTS 512 GPU.

Mine is ***7600 GS***

I don't know perhaps some people have experience with installing crossbred
drivers. I dont. Also I think 8800 is a bit less advanced although I am not
sure.

I want to explain how nVidia became nBidia.

The keys are very close (next to each other) and the spell checker of no
help in here.

Don't think you got that right. It's probably one of those phantom commies
hitting your arm that causes the mistype.

Cheers.

Nvidia uses a unified driver model. Which won't be possible when
MS finishes that drm crap.
