driver problems with XP SP3

MCE 2005, Just updated to SP3, but got a driver issue, if i boot the computer
with out input devices, ie: mouse or keyboard, everything works great, but as
soon as i connect them, or attempt have them connected before it boots to the
desktop i get the error message: an attempt was made to execute
non-executable mem.
This seems like a hardware issue, because when i connect the usb input
device, the same scrfeen also reads, stop: 0x000000FC (0xF78E18E8,
0x07617963, 0xF78E1848, 0x00000001) I am also not able to start up in safe
mode,
please help

Make sure you have the most recent mouse and keyboard drivers installed.

Hi there,

It sounds like a data excecution problem, try editing the boot .ini and
chanche the line:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows ??
Professional" /noexecute=optin change the optin to alwaysoff
