Driver Update Help

I updated my modem driver through the Windows XP update website, but my brother rolled back the driver, and now the update won't show up on the website, and I can't seem to find that update anywhere else. Is there any way to get it back on the Windows website, or do I have to keep searching other websites for it?

Your brother was clever. Drivers on windows update which show to
require update should never be downloaded and installed. If ever you
think you need a new driver download it from the hardware
manufacturer website. The ones from MS are usually outdated and often
older than the ones you already have. So keep your fingers off from
drivers proposed by windows update.

I wouldnt advise winupdate for ANY drivers, unless of course you like
problem solving.
Use appropriate hardware manu. web site drivers ONLY
