Driver updates before SP3

Is there a list of drivers that SP3 will be looking at when it installs?

Would be a shame to install the whole thing and then find out SP3 needed to
know something.

No, unlike Vista.

That being said, always check for such updates at the computer or hardware
device manufacturer's support website and consider installing the most
current versions.

One thing for sure is that SP3 does install a new FireWire driver on at
least some PCs.

Well, that's good. I probably need one by now. Hadn't thought of that. Maybe
I'll just look and see if the updates has given me a recent Microsoft signed
one.
Just want to go down the list, but I have no idea what SP3 will be looking
for.

IMHO
One of the most dangerous practices, using a PC, is downloading any
hardware drivers from the update site.
Use the original manufacturers site, and then, only if you are having
problems, or need upgraded capability.

I'd say shortly before installing a service pack is also a good time to install
new drivers (preferably from the manufacturer's site) as the older ones might
not be compatible.
