You may have selected a color for Menu font, or Menu in the Advanced that
makes the menu font blend into the background. Open Control Panel,
Personalizations, Window Color and Appearance, click "Open Classic
appearance properties..." Advanced button, set "Item" drop box to "Menu",
and choose two color settings that don't blend into one.
