Does anybody know what the timeline is for the release of the 2007 DST Patch
for XP, 2000, 2003 server, exchange and MS Outlook for the WSUS server? I
apologize if this has already been posted and answered but I could not find
and information on it. Thanks.

Since Win2000 is out of lifecycle, they won't be releasing a patch.

www.intelliadmin.com offers a nice little quick fix called "DST Fix for
Windows 2000" to take care of Win 2000 and NT4. Worked great for us.

Despite the fact that the US law changing DST rules was signed by President
Bush _BEFORE_ the Windows 2000 mainstream support ended, MS is not releasing
a patch for Windows 2000. They have released a couple of TechNet articles
on how to change W2K for the DST rules as well as an updated version of
TZEDIT.exe. In otherwords, you have to do it yourself.

That statement is incorrect. http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=7274

Mainstream support for Server 2000 ended on June 30, 2005. The legislation
was signed in August 2005 but contained a clause allowing Congress to
rescind it if a report, produced by another agency, did not show the
benefits would outweigh the costs. That report was due no later than nine
months after August 2005. That makes the true effective date of the
legislation in mid-2006 sometime.

Microsoft is offering patches for all 2000 products (Server, Exchange 2000,
etc.) for a flat fee of $4,000 even if you do not have an extended hotfix
support contract.

Are you serious? $4000 dollars? What a Joke.
