Dual boot with Gparted USB help please!

Hi all and thanks in advance for any help.....

ok, so I read an article on dual booting Vista with Xp Pro

I can follow it all but I'm having trouble using Gparted USB mainly getting
the flash drive (well MP3 player) to be formatted as a bootable drive, don't
think I'll have problems using a USB device to boot as I'm on a crosshair
mobo.
