You will only be able to make both partitions active if they are on 2
drives, so I assume that is your situation. The only one that is critical is
the one with your boot files on.
I do reiterate the WARNINGS from Microsoft that this should not be used on a
production or main home computer. It is beta.
Installing with your XP drive connected will 'probably' be okay, but there
are certainly many situations where there have been serious problems.
BEWARE.
If you install (custom-clean) from within XP you will retain the XP drive
lettering. If you install from the DVD it will install as C drive. Makes no
difference, but some have a preference so they don't have different
lettering in each install.
