Dual monitors worked well. Now booting says it has loaded standard VGA
monitor and both monitors are displaying the same thing.
How do I get back to enabling a wide desktop with Excel on one moitor and
email on the other?

Regards

Control Panel/Appearance and Personalization/(your graphics card setup,
Nvidia or whatever)
or
right click on an empty bit of your desktop and look for display settings.
Doug, though a different one

I know that. What options can I change to fix?
It shows only ONE monitor, but displays the same thing on BOTH monitors.

I would suspect a third party configuration utility placed in Control Panel
by the maker of the system. Look for an icon in Control Panel referring to
your graphics card.

You should be looking for an option to change from Mirror, to Extend or
Span. I prefer Extend, as Span spans the same desktop and Taskbar across
both monitors, while Extend has two seperate Desktops that can be arranged
in any position. UltraMon will give you a lot of further options, including
a second Taskbar. www.ultramon.com
