Dual scopes messing up printer

Hi,

I am hoping I can get some advice on this issue, I am a little confused
by it.

I have two DHCP servers on the same subnet for redundancy. Each serves
from a different set of IP addresses, i.e. two different scopes. My DCs
have fixed IP addresses.

My problem is we have an HP network printer that gets its IP address
through DHCP. Periodically it switches which DHCP server it gets its
address from, so the IP address changes and no one's share connection to
the printer works any more.

What's the right way to address this issue? I don't think I am able to
program in a fixed IP address on the printer, but I Have not checked that.

I checked the printer and I could set up an IP address manually, so I
did so in an area that would not conflict with the two DHCP scopes. Thanks!
