When writing an email, the context menu keeps popping up all by itself while
I am typing along. I know I am not right clicking the mouse when all of my
fingers are on the keyboard! How can I make this dumb thing go away? It comes
up repeatedly every few seconds while I am typing. Help!

I suspect your have a bad keyboard or mouse.
You might try closing all you can in Task Manager
and/or checking programs starting up in Defender
or MSCONFIG to see if something is conflicting.

Are you sure you aren't pressing the context menu key on the keyboard? It
is between the right side Ctrl key and the right side Windows key.

ss.

Thank you for your advice. The whole system is new, only about a month old.

Being new does not stop it from having a sticky key/button problem...
in fact it sort of leads one to think this. Try a friend s keyboard and
mouse. Does the Keyboard have programmable keys that could easily
be hit or activated by a little jostling?

Hmm, that's a thought. I don't know a thing about programmable keys.

I'm positive I'm not hitting that key, but maybe when I use the right shift
key it is getting hung up. I'll have to notice if it happens when I use the
right shift. Thanks for your post.
