Guys, we have an issue where are seeing the following event on one of our
nodes;
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Tcpip
Event Category: None
Event ID: 4199
Date: 6/20/2009
Time: 0:17:55 AM
User: N/A
Computer: NodeD
Description:
The system detected an address conflict for IP address x.x.x.x with the
system having network hardware address 00:1C:2A:2B:1E:60. Network operations
on this system may be disrupted as a result.
Our configuration is as follows;
Windows 2003 SP2 R2 (x64)
Exchange 2007
6 Nodes withi the Cluster
Public NIC: Team using HP Network Teaming Software (Network Fault Tolerance
with Preference Order)
Private: Not Teamed.
The node fails and effectivtily brings down the Exchange resource group
casuing an outage.
We're not a 100% sure but we think the problem may have started after we
changed the Public NIC Team to use the (Network Fault Tolerance with
Preference Order) option.
We could change it back but this is how our network guys want the NIC
configured.
Any input would be much appreciated
