I have tried setting the various autoplay options, nothing seems to change.
It's as if that page is not connected with anything. I suspect this was a
recent upgrade from MS that caused this. It was working fine up until about
a week ago. Another computer in my household (which has auto updates turned
off!) does not seem to be affected.
Have tried holding shift key when clicking on explore, etc. Tried that
tweaks to registry suggested by others, but found that the entries they
wanted to tweak did not exist in my registry. I did delete the secondary ATA
IDE entry, which caused a rebuild of the drivers, and thought I might have
stumbled on the fix, but it had no result after all was said and done. I
still have a non-functional DVD and CD which try to copy and burn every disk
I insert.
