DVD/CD not listing files

I bought a Pioneer DVR-1810 DVD/CD writer ... I used it to install Windows
Vista on my computer but after the installation it stopped working. The
drive appears and the icon changes when I put a DVD or CD in the drive but
I'm unable to view the contents or play DVD's. I've checked and downloaded
all of the latest software updates and firmware but I'm unable to read any
contents on any CD's or DVD's. I've searched for a solution but have not
been able to find one.

Yes, I've removed the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, rebooted and this still
did not fix the problem.

Suggestions on fixing this?

Hi,

Have you tried running a lens cleaner disk on the drive? It may simply be
that the lens is clogged (it really doesn't take much). It's also possible
that the drive is faulty and needs to be replaced.
