Had a problem with Vista not finding my DVD-RW drive. Well slowly I am
getting there. It now shows the drive but will only read CD's and not DVD's
and yes it is a DVD-RW drive. Any ideas?

If you are messing up with the drivers maybe it won't work, but worths a
try.
Did you try to go to Device Manager, properties and then Roll Back driver?

You could also try to delete current driver, so next time vista loads up it
will ask which driver to install.
I have noticed that Safe Mode gives you more control over device drivers.
Just a thought, good luck.

uninstall a program called "inCD" from programs and features in the
control panel.
also try deleting the 'lower and upper filters'
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/en-us) from the registry.
