Is it possible to create one DVD with several slideshows which can be chosen
from the menu, or is it just one slideshow per DVD?

Thanks,
John

Control Panel has the AutoPlay app to set things default. Causing your
system to "Ask me.." and "Open folders' should do it unless the disk itself
has an autoplay.ini file written to the disk.
Using and Configuring AutoPlay:

DVD maker, is intended to make a single title (one movie) playable dvd.
You should investigate and try a more robust DVD Authoring program, that
will allow multiple titles and configurable menus. You most likely got one
with your PC or Burner. Look for NeroVision, Roxio, Sonic MyDVD, are the
common ones bundled with dvd burners. Most are very simple to use. you
still create your slideshow in Moviemaker, but instead of making a DVD, you
save your finished title as a movie file to your hard drive, then you import
into one of these other software's, create your menus and burn.

In a way, DVD Maker can do something like your request. See this URL:
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...51033.mspx#E6F -
"How are scenes created for my DVD? "

Assuming that each of your slideshows is a different file, you can import
each file at the 'Add items' step in the DVD Maker wizard. DVD Maker will
create a separate 'Scene' for each file. You can then select the desired
Scene in the Preview| Menu| Scenes.
The one thing that is not available in this scenario is a Title for the
Scene in the DVD Maker Menu. If you have put an opening Title on each
slideshow, that title will show in the Menu} Scene video. A little klutzy,
but it can suffice for some.
