DVD recorded in Vista does not play sound

I recorded a VHS tape from a VCR into my laptop using a TV Tuner card and Vista Media Center. It recorded correctly and plays correctly. I then chose to burn it to DVD. After the process completed, the DVD played the video correctly but no sound was heard. I checked all of the settings I could find but to no avail. I then tried the disc in my home DVD player and it works correctly and again in my desktop with XP and again no problems. I find it very curious that a DVD burned with this setup will not play in the same setup. The original recorded file plays correctly but not the DVD.

Any help will be much appreciated.

PS Store bought DVDs work fine on the laptop, just not the ones burned on it.
