dvd from xp to vista?

when using either InCd or Nero (data)DVD on XP to Vista, Vista sees it but
doesn't function properly. Is there some specific format when writing the
DVD in XP that will make it compatible with Vista?

What's the make/model of the DVD drive (Vista system)?
Closed the session (if it was multisession) in the DVD?
