dvr-ms convertor

I am using the mediacenter in windows vista to record tv shows. These files
are stored in dvr-ms format.

Does anyone know a freeware program to convert dvr-ms flies to wmv files?

Windows movie maker can do that! So that’s built into Vista already...

also the new Live windows movie maker beta can do this also (art of the live
suite)

Deselect the stuff you don’t want from the suite installer

Great to hear that windows movie maker can do this.

Unfortuntaly, it takes aout an hour to convert a movie. I will try to figure
out if it can convert multiple shows simultaneously or one after another
automatically. It is too much hassle to do this manually for multiple TV
shows on a day. Do you happen to know if it can convert more than 1 program
automatically?

Or can Live movie maker do this perhaps?
