Created a new work account for WLM.

In WLM, the email address is listed followed by "E-mail address not
verified".

Found this article:

I see the message:

Verification not needed
Your e-mail address has either already been verified or it doesn't require
verification.

How can I get WLM to recognize that verification is not needed as reported
by http://account.live.com ?

Greetings,

I hate to ask, but can you double-check that you were signed into the right Live ID when you
went to the link?

Also, you'll need to sign out and back in to see the change after verification.

If it's neither of those, have you linked this Live ID at all to another one?

Had to sign-in to go to that page, so yes I verified it's the correct live
ID.

Did sign out and back in - still has the error.

Yes, the Live ID has been linked to another one with a verified email
address.

Hi,

Linking is known to cause this problem, although I've never been able to reproduce it myself.

Try unlinking them (https://account.live.com/ManageLinks.aspx), verifying it and then
re-linking.

I am having the same problem. I only have one email account, so it isn't a
linking issue. I followed the same steps as the OP, but it still shows my
email address as not being verified. I have to assume this is also the
reason that I can't see my contacts webams?

Thanks Jonathan,

That seemed to help. After un-linking, Live said that the address didn't
need to be verified, but I was able to change my display name, then re-link.

Try this, GO to "TOOLS - OPTIONS" under "Personal", look at your "DISPLAY
NAME" and see if it has your e-mail address follwed by "E-mail address not
verified" Just type your name in there. If it is, type your name in there
and the "E-mail address not verified" will go away.

I had this happened. I followed all the steps, thought I was verified,
re-ran the steps, got your errors. Next I looked at my Personal options and
in there was "E-Mail Address Not Verified" in the Display
Name. This field is Disabled until you are verified. Once verified, you can
modify it.

Try that and see what happens
