E-Mail Download hangs when no title,no sender message arrives.

Amongst the Spam that arrives on my PC in Outlook Express I frequently get a
message with no title, no sender name and no content but merely a "-" in
their place. This causes the download to hang and the only way to proceed is
to go to my ISP via another e-mail program and delete the meaningless message
there. There is no way you can block a message if you don't know a sender's
name. Any suggestions please?
