According to this Easy Transfer site, you can use a special cable to
connect the machines directly together, an external hard drive, or burn
CD/DVDs.

This link says you can use a USB thumb drive and gives more specific
instructions than the first link.

I suspect that your USB thumb drive is either not big enough, not
supported, or formatted FAT32 so you are bumping into the supported file
size problem. If you don't want to purchase the special cable, perhaps
you can try a different transfer medium.
