EDIT association

How is the EDIT association (now Notepad) changed? The EDIT choice
appears in the right-click box.

In XP that could be done under the FOLDER OPTIONS|FILETYPES tab - no
longer available in Vista.

Go to Control Panel, Default Programs, Associate a file type...
