Edit the explorer.exe file

Hi Friends,
I try to edit the explorer.exe file using XN Resource file editer. but
i could not able save the file after editing.I am getting the error "
Cannot rename original file. saving cancelled".Please explain the
problem and give it to the solution.

1. As mentioned elsewhere, the last version of XN Resource Editor pre-dates
Vista, and like many other pre-Vista programs, maybe it just won't work with
it.

2. It probably won't rename the orignal file because it is a system file
and/or it is in use. You might be able to edit a copy of it, but then you'd
have the problem of replacing the original with the copy. I've done it in
XP but not in Vista. Vista seems to be less tolerant of mucking around with
it's system files.

There are certain files that the OS will not allow you to change.
Explorer.exe is one of them. It can't be modified and, even if you were able
to do so, Vista would restore it to its original configuration.
