Why can't I edit a message with Vista as I did with the previous os?

Is somebody telling you that you cannot? Or is the problem that you don't
want to learn something new?

You must be using Vista Mail since you posted your question in this
forum. Surely, you jest. Of course you can edit your message in any
email program.

You must be trying to edit an inbound message before forwarding it.
You can't do that with any email program. You must initiate the message
first either by composing it yourself or forwarding another message.

You're wrong. I can edit email at any stage at work. We have Outlook Express.
Not being able to edit incoming email with Vista is a pain. There must be a
way.

You can edit a received email if you click Forward or Reply first,
but essentially it becomes a new email at that point.
There have been times I wish I could change a misleading subject
line in a received message before archiving it, but neither OE or
WM can do that, only Microsoft Outlook.
