ehRecvr.exe error message

I continue to get the following message "Windows Media Center Receiver
Service has stopped working" and is tied to ehRecvr.exe. I've tried multiple
solutions to no avail. Does anyone have any potential solution based on the
problem signature that I receive?

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BEX
Application Name: ehRecvr.exe
Application Version: 6.0.6001.18000
Application Timestamp: 47919381
Fault Module Name: StackHash_2901
Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0
Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000
Exception Offset: 02ac7d20
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Data: 00000008
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 1033
Additional Information 1: 2901

Thanks for the post. I've already tried all of the items presented at
Stebner's site but none worked.

Does anyone have insight? Thanks.

Just found out that there is a conflict between eHrecvr.exe an
Ffdshow!!

I've removed ffdshow and have no problem now

I've still haven't found the specific reason. Don't know if is th
video or the audio

Which specific version of ffdshow were you using? Since it's still in beta
as far I'm aware, there's a bunch of problems in it still. =\

I had revision 1937..

are you using ffdshow also?

Have you tried to remove it?

I thought 1723 was the last stable beta version?

I haven't personally had problems with eHome/FFDShow because I don't put
random codecs like that on my key systems that have MCE. I'm probably more
aware of the problems with bad codecs than about anyone else out there, so I
really tend to shy away from random or bad codecs. FFDShow Tryouts is
definitely a step above, but -- it's still not something that I think I want
to be putting on boxes that I Care about. =\

I do not have ffdshow on my computer.

Are there any other fixes to te ehRecvr.exe error message and not being able
to view live TV via MCE in Vista?
