Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=ox1a08 (6664), thread id= ox17a4(6052)

The above is the error message I get whenever I tried openning Windows Media
center.
I've tried everything except deleting window media center from the
add/remove program. Can I do this and would it show back up after rebooting
from a back up cd?
Any help will be appreciated.

There seems to be various causes. Windows Media Center should not be listed
in add/remove programs.

Media Center can't be "removed", it is a embedded as part of the OS.

Perhaps you mean Media Player? If so, try reposting your question in a Media
Player forum for more/better help.

In the add/remove program, It would show Windows xp Media Center if you put
a check mark on the update list above. But I just found out too that it's
only the update that I can delete. Thank you
