1 What anti-virus are you running? Some use a lot of resources.
2 How old is your computer. If it is new, indexing could be sorting itself out
3 Go into "run", "msconfig" and see what you have strating up at boot. You
don't need Nero or anything like that. Customise your startup to suit
yourself, reboot, leave it in the selected startup, and tick the warning box
not to annoy you again!
