Eliminate dial up connection box

When my computer awakes from sleep, a dial up connection box appears to
"connect to the internet" even though the dsl is already connected.
Takes four cancel clicks to get rid of the box. Is there a way to eliminate
the box from appearing when awakened? thanks

Open Internet Explorer -> go to Internet Options -> Connections -> select
Never dial a connection
