Seriously Diane do not put a real email address in newsgroups it will
just get you spam (Junk Mail)
You need to state some things so others can help you. It's kinda hard to
help someone who calls and says "I'm sinking in a swamp but I don't know
where I am".
When you say "Computer shut down as usual" do you mean it does that
automatically or did you do it, and if you did it did you follow the
start button>shutdown procedure or did you just turn it off.
What does the screen rearranged comment mean? Just a few icons on far
left or do you still see familiar things in different places?
Did you ever have any other users set up on that machine or were you the
only one? If so maybe you can just switch users and log in as
administrator and be back up and running.
