I had emails stuck in my outbox a few times since I have been using Live mail
with Windows 7. This happens only with large attachments. I get complains
from destinators who received the email several times. I have to delete the
email from the outbox to stop the sending. I am using a recent build:
14.0.8089.0726
Please help, this is ruining my windows 7 experience!

How large are this emails with attachments? Are you scanning your emails with your
AV? Windows 7 has nothing to do with this issue that you are experiencing. Most
likely culprit is your Anti Virus scanning your in and outgoing emails.
Try the following and post back

Uninstall your AV and the re-install it without the email integration (scanning)
option. Reboot and test and see if issue is solved

Also you might want to read the following

I have same problem with WinXP SP3 here.
Or, there are two different problems: one related to large attachments,
another related to any size attachments.

Symptom: sending to SMTP provider (not hotmail or any MS service).
The progress bar runs almost to the end, then stucks and the sending
timeouts.
The message stays in outbox and blocks following messages to be sent.

However, in my case, the message is *not* received by recipient.

On the same machine, Outlook 2007 successfully sends a message with same
attachment to same provider.

So, which antivirus do you have, and is it configured to scan emails?

I am using BitDefender and I just found it is configured to scan emails.
I have now disabled email scanning by BitDefender and will monitor
the situation.
Thanks for your help.

Peter:
I just disabled email scanning from my BitDefender AV. If this does not
solve the problem I will follow your suggestion and uninstall/reinstall this
AV.
thanks
