EML Files

According to Windows XP file types IE8 is an option for opening .EML files
(from Windows Live Mail), But IE seems only to open EML files when they are
changed to MHT files...which takes additionl steps and time. Is there a way
to open eml files directly using IE8?

EML files open with WLMail. (Or Outlook Express in XP).
