emoticons don't show anymore

hi all,

i wanted to transfer my custom emoticons from another machine to mine. the
problem is that deleted/tampered with some folders that seems i shouldn't
have done with! folders in ApplicationData in Documents and Settings and some
others.

the problem is that emoticons don't work anymore ... they appear as pure
text.
i did all what can be done..Repair...unInstall and ReInstall...Restart.
all of it

and it's still not working, what should i do?!! I AM SORRY I TAMPERED WITH
THOSE..I REALLY AM!

Yes, reinstalling Messenger won't help I'm afraid. Was this Windows Live Messenger 8.0 or
8.1?

It may be possible to retrieve some of them (depending on what happened) and you'd have to
readd them one by one. I'll be more specific when you say which version you're using.
